THE LIFE OF THE CATS IN NALEC (NALEC + FELINE — in Catalan “felí” = NALÍ)

In this space, we will reveal the day‑to‑day life of this dangerous gang that operates in the darkest suburbs of Nalec.
A territory where imaginary knives, clandestine kibble trafficking, and fights over territory —and over females— are part of the feline criminal routine.
All of it told with an ironic, mischievous tone and that dark humor only cats can inspire.
Join us in discovering the personal stories of each member of the crew, seen through the human eye that tries —with little success— to understand the unique and unpredictable behavior of every cat.

SIAMESITO HAS CROSSED THE RAINBOW…

We had been searching for him tirelessly for two weeks.
The last time we saw him was on May 14th, with his belly very swollen.
Yesterday, the Chots —two brothers who care for part of the colony, one of them a founder of our association— told us that they had found him dead under a piece of furniture in the storage room.
It hurts us deeply to share this.

LUNA, INJURED…

Our Luna has appeared with a wound on her right cheek, probably the result of a fight. We’ve already checked her, and it seems to be a minor injury, but we’re cleaning it and keeping an eye on it to make sure it heals well.

VAQUITA BRINGS US HER NEW LITTER

She has decided to officially introduce us to her four kittens, who are now about a month and a half old.
Two are as black as the night, one is a perfect little tuxedo, and the other is a charming tabby.
Now comes the best part: choosing their names and discovering their personalities.

PANTER HAS GIVEN BIRTH…

Four new kittens have arrived.
Unfortunately, one of them was born without life, but the other three are stable and under control.
For now, everything is going well, and we trust that they will continue growing strong.

PAQUET, SICK

He has mucus with a bit of blood.
For now it seems mild, but we’re monitoring him closely and keeping an eye on how it evolves to make sure everything goes well.

SAFE JOURNEY, LITTLE ONES…

Of the four kittens that were born —one of them already died during birth— two more have not survived these past days.
We now have only one kitten left, who for the moment remains stable and under close watch.
We continue doing everything we can to help this little one move forward.

THE FOUR HAPPY SIBLINGS...

Vaquita’s little ones are doing wonderfully.
Each day they trust us a little more, approach us more calmly, and are beginning to show their personalities.
It’s a slow but very beautiful process to witness: they move from caution to curiosity, and from curiosity to letting themselves be cared for.
We’re delighted to accompany them on this journey and to see how, step by step, they open themselves to the world.

THE LITTLE ONE PUSHES FORWARD…

The last kitten from Panter is still alive and stable.
Each day he is a little stronger and already getting rounder.
We continue to watch him closely, but for now he is evolving very well.

ROLLITO, SERIOUSLY INJURED…

Tonight he came back with a significant wound on his neck, a sign that someone tried to explain the street rules to him through bites.
The injury is deep but not critical; it’s already cleaned and under supervision, and he keeps acting as if nothing happened.

TWO WEEKS OF LIFE!

He has been with us for two weeks now, and today he started moving around his surroundings as if he were rediscovering the world.
After everything he has been through, seeing him walk with such calm and strength is almost a small miracle.
This little one truly pushes forward, and he does so with the dignity only cats who have seen too much —and still choose to continue— seem to have.

NEW MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION…

Today we found a baby pigeon, small and helpless, searching for its place in the world.
We picked him up with that mix of surprise and hope that fragile animals always awaken.
Now all we can do is wait and hope he has enough strength to hold on to life.
May he succeed.

GROWING BIGGER EVERY DAY!

Bigger every day, bolder every day, and fuller of life.
The four little ones now run, play, and explore the yard as if it were their tiny kingdom, and it’s impossible not to smile when you see them discovering the world through jumps and meows.
They grow fast, but above all they grow happy, and you can see it in every sprint, every stumble, and every shared moment of play…
and now we’re missing something important: finding their names.
We’re looking for names for these four little rascals who have already won everyone’s heart.

ROLLITO, GETTING BETTER EVERY DAY…

With the care and attention we’ve been giving him, he has slowly begun to bloom, as if life were opening a small crack of light for him again.
Each day he wakes a little calmer, a little stronger, and it’s impossible not to feel that, deep down, he is starting to believe in the world once more.

28/6/2026

WE’RE ALREADY AT THE THIRD WEEK…

This little one has already spent three weeks clinging to life, and his progress is so good that it’s almost hard to believe he was in danger so recently. Each day he wakes a little more alive, a little calmer, a little more confident in his small world. The care, the patience, and the strength he carries within himself are all doing their part, and you can see it in every step he takes.

Now we enter the decisive stretch: the danger month, that fragile period where everything can change. All we can do is hope he continues like this — brave and steady — until this month is behind him and we can finally say he is out of risk.

May he make it… and everything suggests he will.

HE HAS LEFT US…

🕊️ A sad day… our little one could not carry on

Our little baby pigeon, that tiny piece of life trying to carve its path with a strength almost too big for its small body, has finally been unable to continue.

We did everything within our reach: care, warmth, calm, hope… but sometimes fragility is too great and life too brief. Even so, during these days he gave us something precious: the feeling that it was worth trying, that every breath was a small victory, that even the smallest beings can leave an enormous mark.

Today we say goodbye with tenderness, with respect, with that quiet sadness that arrives when a fragile animal fades. He did not survive, but he was not alone. And that, in the end, is also a form of love.

🐾 A SMALL TREATMENT… AND BACK WITH HIS FAMILY…

Today we had to capture one of the four little ones from the yard, that rascal who always runs first and hides last. His eyes were a bit irritated, so we gave him some gentle chamomile care, with all the patience and delicacy that fragile animals deserve.

He endured it like a champion: still, trusting, letting himself be cared for as if he understood it was all to help him. And when we finished, we returned him immediately to his litter, who welcomed him with that mix of curiosity and calm that only small cats have.

Now he’s back to running around the yard, playing and exploring as if nothing happened. A small scare, a small treatment… and a great relief.

ROLLITO, ALMOST FULLY RECOVERED… 🐾

Rollito is now practically recovered. The wounds that just a few days ago still marked his body have fully healed, leaving only small shadows of what happened. He has been brave, patient, and surprisingly calm during every treatment, as if he knew it was all meant to help him.

Now there’s only one last thing left: for his fur to grow back and fill the little empty spaces. At the pace he’s going, it won’t take long before he’s the same mischievous little one as always, running around the yard as if nothing had ever happened.

Every day he looks stronger, more confident, more himself. And for us, that is an enormous joy.
