Meet the kittens who have crossed the rainbow
Behind every kitten there is a meaningful story; we wish to preserve their memory with respect and affection.
Vaca Madre
Vaca Madre was one of the first cats we met in Nalec. At first she was quite wary, but over time we earned her trust. Since then she has never stopped bringing her kittens so they too could have this safe place.
Everything began with her; her legacy will endure, and we will miss her.
Nano
Firstborn son of Vaca Madre. He quickly became our friend: he often spent the night at home and slipped into the neighbors’ houses. He was a very affectionate cat.
He disappeared without explanation, just like his mother.
Siamesito
We believe he was Nano’s brother and Vaca Madre’s son. Another one of the village’s most affectionate cats; he always stayed close to us. We are saddened that he is no longer with us.
According to what the neighbors say, it’s possible that he was run over, since a lot of blood appeared on the street and Siamesito was found dead.
BlackMami
She was a sweet and affectionate cat who didn’t fight with anyone. Very independent, she often took days to show up. Long‑haired and majestic.
But one night she appeared poisoned among the bushes on the street. It saddened us deeply; she left us last year, and we remember her fondly.
Carlitos
Everyone’s favorite. With a VIP pass at the Café and the swimming pools in 2023, he was a squatter who slipped into many homes and always spread affection. Greyish tabby.
It broke our hearts when we found him run over at the exit of the village in 2024.
