There are towns that are recognized by their streets, by their fields, or by their festivals. Nalec, moreover, is recognized by its whiskers: by the eyes that shine at night and by the small hearts that beat in search of a better future.

Where our story begins

Our story did not begin in an office, but in the street, many years ago, when some neighbors started feeding and caring for the town’s feline colonies. Over time, and already in an organized way since 2022, we have provided food, built improvised shelters, offered veterinary care whenever possible, and done everything we could with the resources available.

All of this happened long before any association existed. With conviction and joint effort, we sped up the paperwork and gave a name to what we had already been doing for years: ELS GATETS DE NALEC.

 

Our victories and our wounds

Many kittens have been taken in by neighbors and by us, finally finding the warmth and safety they had never known. Today they are part of our small feline team: companions, guardians, and souls that remind us every day why it is worth fighting.

There are also stories that leave a mark on us: some did not arrive in time to receive this new opportunity. They are absences that hurt and remind us that every minute counts, that every gesture matters, and that every life is unique.

Why we do it

Every recovered purr, every gaze that stops being afraid, every tail that rises again… is a small victory. A victory shared with everyone who loves, helps, and respects these beings who only ask for a dignified life.
